Cadiz Methodist Church is ministering with other local churches in Trigg County to offer free laundry service once a month to those in need. The last Tuesday of each month, anyone can go to the laundromat on Main Street in Cadiz from 5-7 pm and get up to 6 loads of laundry paid for. This service includes provision of laundry detergent and dryer sheets, as well as snacks while they wait for their laundry to be done.
In conjunction with the Laundry Love ministry on the last Tuesday of each month a meal is provided for anyone in need at the Laundromat on Main Street in Cadiz. Cadiz Methodist Church will be onsite with food to go for anyone who would like a free meal. The meals are available from 5 -7 pm each month.
The Cadiz Methodist Church has a Fresh Expression of church at the Lake Barkley Plantation called Little Flock. The Plantation is an assisted living facility for people who are retired and need some assistance but still able to live independent lives. Each Sunday morning at 10 am worship service is led by Howard Coffey for the residents. Everyone is invited to attend, even if they are not residents. Each Wednesday afternoon, a devotion is offered for the residents as well. the V-Team leads singing at the Plantation for the residents each Tuesday morning. Little Flock is an extension of the ministry of the Cadiz Methodist Church.
The Cadiz Methodist Church, along with the community and many other churches, support the ministries of The Way. One Friday a month, volunteers from the Cadiz MC go to The Way to provide food for the youth. The Way is a ministry dedicated to the youth of Trigg County and is located behind the Trigg County school complex. The Way is open to youth after school throughout the week as a safe place to gather and features all sorts of activities and services.
Each year on the day of the Trigg County High School Prom, we offer a Pre-Prom Dinner for the students attending the prom. Any Trigg County student attending the prom is welcome to come and enjoy a wonderful meal and a very elegant environment. The cost is $5 per person, which covers the meal and a professional photograph. Any student interested in attending can sign-up with Mrs. Chrissy Ethridge at TCHS.
The Men’s Group meets the first Saturday of each month at 8 am at the church for a breakfast meeting. They enjoy breakfast and fellowship and make plans for upcoming events and projects during the year.
The V Team is a group of people who visit Barkley Plantation (an assisted living facility) once a week on Tuesday mornings and lead them in singing and a short devotion. This ministry is open to anyone who would like to share some joy and love to those in the community living in these facilities. Anyone wishing to be a part of this ministry can contact the church office.
Every Wednesday at 5:30 pm, a free meal is offered to anyone in the community who would like to come to the church to eat. The meals are provided on a donation basis and available from 5:30-6 pm. Each Wednesday, meals are also delivered to people in the community who may need a meal as well. Cadiz Methodist currently provides approximately 90 meals to shut-ins and individuals in the community each week through the efforts of our volunteers. Each June the church sponsors a mission team to the country of Honduras. The trip involves teaching a Bible school and home construction. We also sponsor a medical clinic year round.

A group of ladies gather to provide prayer shawls for anyone in need. The prayer shawls are prayed over as they are made and available to anyone who would like to receive one. They are a reminder of the love and grace of God for those struggling with illness or other physical, spiritual, or emotional issues. Anyone who would like to receive a prayer shawl or who knows of one who would like one can contact the church office.
