Children's Classes

Pre-School Class

This class is for children ages 3 – 4.  The focus of this class is to begin laying a foundation for youngsters in their knowledge, love, and relationship with Jesus Christ while presenting lessons in a fun and age-appropriate manner.

Primary Class

(K-2nd Grade)

The primary class uses various lessons that engage students in hands-on activities that help them learn and grow in a developing relationship with God.  Teachers are Carmen Finley and Laura Mowen.  Vicki Godwin also leads a Children’s Handbell Ministry with this age group.

Intermediate Class (3rd-5th Grade)

Our purpose is to lay a solid foundation of teaching, nurturing, and love in which each child will be able to build a life that is pleasing to God.  Clara Beth Hyde is the teacher.

Middle School & High School

(6th-12th Grade)

Learning who they are in Christ on a deeper level.  This class participates in group discussions, games, and Bible teachings in order to strengthen their relationship with Christ and grow in their faith in Him.  This class is taught by Katie Weeks, our Director of Youth Ministries.

Adult Classes

BASIC

(Brothers & Sisters in Christ)

Comprised of all ages. The class is led by several members on a rotational basis and uses a variety of Adult Bible Studies literature.  The BASIC Class usually has a social gathering once a month (i.e., potluck dinners, bowling party, swimming party).

FOCUS 3

The Focus 3 Sunday school class is a young-adult class that meets weekly in the adult Sunday school wing at 10 am.  Our class is comprised of couples and single adults who are searching to develop a more personal relationship with Christ and others.  Our studies are selected from our class membership and have included relationship as well as personal spiritual growth studies.  The name of our class was selected to represent the values that our class holds in esteem.  We focus on 3 main principles in our spiritual lives: our love for the Lord, our love for each other and fellowship with other Christians.  In addition to our class meeting weekly during the Sunday school hour, we also try and meet outside of church for a time of fellowship on a monthly basis.  We typically will alternate between an adult only and a family gathering during our monthly fellowship times and we engage in a variety of fun activities during this time together.  Our class welcomes new members.   Anyone interested in joining us should reach out to Bailey Oliver or Dr. Shea Godwin or through our Focus 3 Facebook page.
