Rev. Jamus Redd

Assistant Pastor

Jamus Redd is our Assistant Pastor.  He is married to our youth director, Kendra.  They have three children, Caroline, Elizabeth, and Ivey.  His parents are J. Rodman and Hiler Redd.   Jamus has served Cadiz UMC in this capacity since 2015.  Jamus sensed a call to ministry as a young boy and was encouraged to ministry by Dr. Hilda Bentley, former Assistant Pastor at Cadiz UMC.  He first served Lafayette UMC in 2006 and was then sent to Fairview UMC in Lyon County from 2007-2015.  Rev. Scott Wilson asked Jamus to join the staff in 2015.

Jamus grew up in Cadiz UMC and graduated from Trigg County High School in 1990, Harvard College in 1994, and the University of Kentucky Law School in 1997.  He received his MDiv. from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2018.  Jamus also serves as District Judge for Caldwell, Livingston, Lyon, and Trigg counties.  Jamus is grateful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be able to serve at Cadiz UMC.  As our Assistant Pastor, he helps wherever he is needed, but he particularly feels called to teaching and pastoral care.  He also teaches the Wesley Sunday School class, helps with the organization of our soccer league, and drives the bus for youth trips.
